2007 L/C Less Power?

More like Toyota had to recalcuate the horsepower rating to conform to the SAE standards. I noticed this slight discrepancy when I was comparing a new 2005-06 GX470 to the LR3. The HP changed to the downside in the '06 brochures and Lexus Web site.
They must have had the LX470 and LC brochures already printed for the 2006 models... probably made the correction for the 2007 model year. The bottom line is the 2006-07s never had 275 HP so you're not missing anything.
IMO this was Toyota's attempt in trying to keep up with the competition and sell units using the HP race---nothing like stretching the facts. Most competitors are at 300... and by now exceeded 300 HP on their mainstream V8s.

What's more, the '07 LX470 is advertised as 265 hp and 328 ft lbs torque.
I read somewhere that since Lexus requires premium fuel in the owners manaul, their ratings are normally higher than the similar Toyota engine that only requires regular in the manual. Since the power output on a dyno will drop somewhat with different grades of gas.
Example V8 4R and GX470 (both 2006 models with new SAE ratings) with exactly the same engine and outlay:
Toy 260 HP 306lb/ft
Lexus 263 HP 323lb/ft
WHich is even more funny that it is the same engine in the LC, Tundra and Seqouia however the exhaust layout is different accounting for the changes in ratings.
Goign back to the original post, yes it is only the new SAE ratings which forced manufacturers to restate their numbers. In the end you still have the same power at the wheels in real life.
