Hello Forum,
So my 2007 GX470 w/ 90k miles was off the road for 8 months...
I had to replace a broken (rusted...) brake line that ran above the gas tank.
Brake line has been replaced, brakes bled, gas tank reinstalled, and now it's time to restart the SUV.

Note: I consider this a very well maintained GX470. I'm a car guy, also own a LX470, several vintage Triumphs, etc.

The gas tank was drained when it was removed 8 months ago, with the exception of maybe 1/2 gallon of gas.
The battery (now a year old) was pulled and put on a charger at the same time.
SUV was in a clean dry garage during the entire 8 months.
It ran well before it was taken off the road.

I've added about 5 gallons of premium gas to the tank (gauge shows 1/8 of a tank).
Battery is very good.
When key is put in ignition (master), it immediately turns off the immobilizer light.
I've tried all 3 keys (2 masters and 1 valet), and they all do the same thing.
It will crank (starter engages just fine), but it won't start / run.
After spending some time with a multimeter, I'm pretty confident that the Fuel Pump is not getting power.
I've checked / switched all of the fuses and relays.
When I turn the key to the On position, the fuel pump should run for 2 or 3 seconds.
I don't hear / feel the pump run during this time.

Anyone heard of a condition where the immobilizer light is off, but it appears the immobilizer is still cutting off the fuel?
I'll test the fuel pump tomorrow, but I'm 95% sure it's not the pump.
Are there any sensors that would cutoff the fuel if there's an issue?

The following items have not been reinstalled, but I don't believe they should be a problem:
- Gas Tank Skid Plate
- Engine Skid Plate
- Transmission / Transfer Case Skid Plate
- Front Engine / Radiator Cover (needed to remove to put in the Battery)
- Fuse Box Cover in the Engine Compartment
- Carpet and Gas Tank Access Plate in the 2nd Row

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
Tom

Sounds like you may have the common immobilizer issue that is in the LX470s:

Are you sure it isn’t the wiring or plug to the fuel pump. It seems like more than a coincidence that you dropped the tank and now the fuel pump won’t work.
