Vehicle just turned 200k and the fuel gauge is all over the place even when full. Car functions perfect with no error coded. I guess I need a new sending unit. My question is while I am at it do I need to change out the fuel pump? If so can someone tell me the part that I need and the part number along with the gasket number. Seems that denso does not make the fuel pump any longer. Can someone point me is the right direction as what needs to be replaced being that I am changing out the sending unit? Thanks for your help as I am sure this has been discussed previously in other posts.

I have a 2007 LC100, these are the parts I bought when I did this job not long ago. I can't speak as to whether or not you should replace the fuel pump while you're in there. I opted to go ahead and do so. The job isn't terrible, so if I had to do it again, I would probably have left the fuel pump alone until it started showing signs of problems. However, I guess now I have some peace of mind knowing it shouldn't fail any time soon.

Fuel sending unit: 83320-60340
Fuel pump: 23220-50160
Gasket: 77169-33020
2x clips: 77241-60320

Optional:
I also replaced the gas cap, because it was looking rough: 77300-06040

All parts purchased from toyotapartsdeal.com. Used this video as a guide:

Removing the sending unit from the assembly you take out of the fuel tank is fairly simple. I can't remember exactly how it came apart, but I think it was just a couple of screws and one wire. I actually opened the sending unit up and you can see that it was well worn out.

Even after cleaning it.
