Posting this in hopes that this helps some other people as I only saw a few threads on it (@MongooseGA really had a heck of a time).

8 months ago I started experiencing transmission issues that sometimes-involved solenoid codes or other various transmission codes (P0974, P0986, P0776, ect). Sadly, for me when the worst of it happened and left the car mostly undriveable I was not anywhere close to home. Long story short and after 5 months I got burned hard by a shop but got all my money back from my bank.

Symptoms: Hard shift into Drive, No 5th gear, hard shift into 2nd and 3rd.

Once I got the vehicle back my mechanic and I replaced the internal wiring harness PN# 82125-35130 after noticing some corrosion near the pins. No issues persisted after that... For a few days.

I decided to check the TCM PN# 89531-60050 behind the glove box. Mine had damage so I replaced that.

For about 1,000 miles I had no issues until this week. I was once again away from my tools :(

After doing a several hours of reading I was still confident, I had a wiring issue of some kind or an issue with fluid as I sometimes find trans oil on the overflow check plug.

Well, when I went to check the transmission solenoid connection harness I found the female end of the connector to show corrosion.

At least 4 pins with corrosion and 4 pins that look brand new (from the bad shop I assume). So we have some kind of moisture getting in there. You can buy just this part of the pig tail from aliexpress or a new housing. I am just spending the 200 bucks to replace the entire external harness PN# 82125-60383 that runs from the back of the engine to the transmission.

Took me a bit to find so I will also throw in the pin diagram for this and the wiring diagram for others to hopefully find helpful. "E 1" is the name of this specific connector.

Until my parts come in I am just going to take some contact cleaner and a brush to it. After reseating this connector it cleared the persistent hard shift into drive that would stick around even after codes were cleared so I am fairly confident this will be the long term solution. I'll make sure to keep everyone updated though!

those external trans connectors are usually packed with grease from the factory. I am surprised corrosion got in there
Thats the interesting thing, no grease at all when my mechanic and I opened up 1k miles ago.

When I install the harness I plan on putting grease around the orange gasket on the female side and a small amount around the housing on the male side. I could see potential situations where dielectric grease could cause a loss of connection on one of the pins, so Ill forgo putting it on the pins themselves.
