Hi, new here
I needed a new AC compressor for my 2004, rear AC Lexus.
Naturally I chose Denso, sure fitting, reliable, what's not to like.....WRONG
The problem is, their catalog lists 471-1412 for ALL 2004, with AND without rear AC, and for 2005-2009 WITHOUT rear AC
Now how can that be? First, if the 1412 isn't designed to handle rear ac (not just the displacement, but the module compatibility) how can it fit a rear ac 2004 gx470
Also, densoparts states that the 1412 has 4 mounting bolts, while the 2004 gx has 3 holes.
It would be more plausible that the 1005 would be the candidate for my 2004: 3 mounting holes and rear ac capability
But, apparently based on denso catalog, Amazon, newparts, rockauto, and partsgeek all list the 471-1412 as the match for my 2004 with rear AC, while partshawk lists the 471-1005
is denso catalog wrong in regards to this model year? Had it dragged other vendors with them?
