yes i am surprised seeing that price for 2003, i wanted second opinion if i can go ahead and buy the rig and after getting the rig what services should i get it done for 100k? i am not too good with these petrol engine cars since back home i have been driving diesel Landcruisers VX fitted with 1HTD Turbo

wow, that's a low price considering out here in the NW it would go for about $15K. But, it does look pretty beat, seats are well worn as is the steering wheel, carpets, speaker covers etc. I'd say if it's mechanically sound, especially if it's had the timing belt done (which is $1,200) then it might be worth it. I'd also check car fax, check for body repairs etc - and if everything looks ok then you might have found a good bargain. You can replace the seat, the steering wheel, new floor mats, speaker covers etc for probably another $600 and you'd have a really nice low mile 2003 with the desirable upgraded interior and 5-speed transmission.

yes i agree with you its pretty beat up i am still debating on it and timing belt is done, do you know where i can get the steering wheel, new floor mats, speaker covers and other upholstery stuff if i ever buy the truck

i wouldn't touch anything in the NE. the back hatch is rusting, wonder what the underside is like. And the VIN is not listed which is suspect. I bet it's a branded title. I see a money pit there.

Actually i agree with you, it must be allot of issue behind such price i called the person and i was told car got clean title but i think am not getting that car brings allot of question specially rust is concern, my best bet is getting another 1999 LC i just saw price seems decent link below:

Do not buy anything that you don't see and drive with your own eyes. As @arcteryx pointed out, the rear clam shell is rusting on the outside, which means that LC will have serious rust where you can't see in the pics. Bet it was used to put a boat in the salty water off Staten Island and the underside has holes in it.

Chicago is just as bad / worse with the salt they use on the roads. Look to TX, AZ, CA etc if you're considering flying to buy.

Roger that sir, since m on 3 weeks vacation am open to flying, i really appreciate all the suggestions/ opinions i will definitely look into the suggested areas

Dont settle. There are guys- @beno and @Sea Knight that travel for this exact situation. I would strongly suggest something in the CA/TX/AZ area. IH8RUST and so should you. If you cannot make a trip, the above guys are VERY trusted and can be your eyes on the ground.

Thank you very much now i know where to look at when i need help, currently m in midwest indiana starting my trip down south to florida and will look around for LC around my budget max of $9500

holler if you need assistance in TX. I cannot iterate enough to get as clean as a vehicle as possible. And those guys charge about as much as transporter and they know EXACTLY what to look for before said truck is loaded. No surprises. I'd trust either. No go, you just pay for a flight home. Easy and saves you thousands.
