I have a 2003 4Runner with just over 92000 miles. I was wondering what everyone recommended doing with the 100,000 service. Follow the FSM? Change fluids? Nothing special? Thoughts?

I ran a blackstone report at 80k when I switched from dino to synthetic oil and everything came back wonderful. They reported that I could run 7500 on the dino.

Follow the FSM, just had my timing belt changed and a full tune-up. I Plan to have the auto-trans flushed
and a new filter put in this summer and the differentials/transfer case fluids all changed. I'm at 95,000mi
and have always run Mobile 1.

Here is an online service schedule....
Toyota Parts and Service

x2 on following the FSM

I would definitely do sparks, diffs, and trans....off the top of my head.

V6 or V8?

Its a V6 2wd.

From the FSM it looks like I need to change the plugs or timing belt depending on engine model. And then inspect everything and replace the rear differential fluid.

I thought with an automatic that as long as you don't tow or are on dusty roads constantly, that you shouldn't touch the transmission fluid, except to add a little if you get low.

If it's a 2003 is a 1GR-FE 4.0L V6
You'll want to do the plugs if it's never been done. (I recommend OEM factory plugs)
The 1GR has a timing chain instead of a belt. Look inside the oil fill :)

That's for domestic autos :hillbilly:

These auto trans will last the life of the vehicle with proper care.

If I remember correct, I don't think there is a trans oil fill except on the transmission. Does it have a tranny dipstick?

Yes it has a tranny dipstick. So what would include proper care?
