Just checking for the MOT on my 2003 100HDJ and no rear fogs, rear fog switch lights the dash indicator to say they’re on, but they’re not, both lamps in rear false fed and working, earth in rear is good, my switch wiring diagram colours are totally different from my “Max Ellery”workshop manual, and I’ve trawled previous posts for ages with no luck, help please…..

My 2000 UZJ100 doesn't have rear fog lights, but could it be possible that the switch is getting power, which would illuminate it, but the power is not getting past the fuse box? Just a thought.

Thanks pal, but I sat long and hard thinking what have I done to cause this, it’s very rare we use the fogs on the rear, and what have I changed or done that could cause this, then I realised I had changed the rear 7 pin towing socket, it has a blue fog light wire and a grey one, there’s a switch on the ones used in the UK that if you’re towing a caravan or a box van etc it breaks the circuit when putting the plug in the Landcruisers rear fogs, to stop you getting a rear view mirror constantly full of bright red lights, and “hey presto” problem solved, thanks again….

That makes sense, glad you solved it!

Happen to have pictures of the fogs? never knew LC's came with rear fogs

Its the two rectangular red reflectors on the NA trucks. They actually light up in other countries.

I've seen listings on ebay for these, but wasnt sure how bright they are. Also where would the factory rear fog light switch reside?
Anyone else considering a retrofit of Rear Fog Lights? I've done this on a couple of German cars as it was a simple dash swtich update. In both cases, the harness and light bulb assy was already there, just needed a euro switch for the dash.

I'll search the forums and report back if I find anything worth sharing.
