I'm having a set of custom low profile mounts made to attach my GFC RTT to my 2020 Landcruiser. It will sit about 1/2" off the high point on the roof, use the second and fourth channel mount locations, and require the sharkfin to be deleted.

The pictures are of the prototype I'm testing out this weekend are are built from plasma cut materials for speed. The final product would have a production finish made from CNC'd materials.. Not trying to start a business but happy to have 5 or 10 sets of these made if others are in interested. It would include the brackets, hardware, and a cap for the sharkfin delete.

Right now I think it would be about $700 all-in.

That’s cool. I had the gfc with the aftermarket mounts on the rhino rack backbone mounts without the platform. The rhino came with it and I thought it was a neat setup. This would have been nice if I still had the gfc!

Are you mounting it straight to the gfc? Or using the aftermarket bars?

I looked at doing that exact setup but still wanted to save a couple inches in height.

The plan is to mount it directly to the outriggers on the GFC. It would still work with cross bars if that was important to someone. I've just had a few too many height issues over the years and prefer to keep it tight. It helps that you can mount gear to the GFC too removing the need for the bars.

Yea that would be nice to mount it directly. I’d say if you could get it just above the shark fin that would be sweet.

Saving any inches on the height of the LC with a RTT is amazing. I tried to mount a low profile box to the top with the beef bars and I’m almost as tall as our high roof sprinter 😂

That is awesome. I see these low profile mounts for 4Rs and high volume models. Great to see one ginned up for the 200-series. Props.

I did this once on my 80. She did not like all the weight up there 🤣. Couldn't get my GFC to start open without unloading the roof box too

A few shots from this weekend with the GFC installed. Will probably tweak a couple minor things design-wise but the turned out great and worked as expected.
