Cool story that came up on my feed. If I'm not mistaken, this vehicle is Canguru Racings Monica, before her identity (gender?) change.

This chassis has been racing since 2009?! I believe on the same still unopened motor? Speaks to the strength of the core engineering that's underneath all our vehicles.

Ah, looks like this rig was a predecessor to Monica. It was Joe's second build that became Monica.

Ive actually asked Joe several questions regarding these builds. Its really interesting to watch the first truck he built in 09 on his own, and then the Lexus Factory truck that was built later. Monica is still a contender every time she races, such a testament to the work done by Joe and Geiser bros. , amongst others.

Joe had some really great early successes with outright wins or podium finishes.

Credit for the excellent driving, build, and teamwork. I gotta think the innate goodness baked into the 200-series played a big part in its success?

Haven't had a chance to watch these yet but you're right, Monica is the second truck. Had we known how cheaply the first truck sold for we probably would have tried to buy both of them. I think it got sold into the middle east somewhere. UAE maybe? I posted this in the Monica thread a few weeks ago. Between us and Joe we think she has about 30k testing/race miles on her. Motors, tranny, and tcase are all original and untouched. Crazy reliability.

I think the only raced he DNF'd was the one he rolled if I remember right. Maybe another shorter race where he had TPS issues or pedal issues. Not quite sure. We've only not finished 2 races. One was due to a cracked oil pan from an un-anticipated flight (long story) and the other we chose not to finish. We'd gotten way behind because because of running out of gas and then TPS issues as well. After we got the throttle body replaced we were way behind and after pushing through the whoops and hearing the front diff rapidly starting to fall apart we called it rather than break down in the heart of the San Felipe whoops with no front diff at 2am.
