Nice 60 and awesome pics, i envy you guys that live out West, the Southeast (Alabama) doesnt have anything remotely close to the views of that...also what kinda camera do you have ?

Nick

My original plan was to do Baja, but the spousal unit was a little scared of running into trouble with the federales, even though a friend and I had made it half way down the peninsula in a nissan sentra a couple of summers ago with no problems. We didn't get to see much on that trip because a lot of the side roads were pretty washed out and you really needed a truck, so I wanted to go back and do it right with the cruiser. But, we had never seen Canada or the Pacific Northwest, so it wasn't to bad of a comprimise.

We are originally from Mississippi, so I know where you're coming from AuburnFJsexy, but I reckon each place has it's on special beauty to it, you just have to look harder in the southeast.

The pictures were taken with a Nikon F5 using Fujichrome Velvia 50 for the color shots and Ilford Delta Pro 100 for the b&w shots.

Great trip! My wife and I did almost the exact same route about 4 years ago. We left Carbondale, CO and did about 6K miles. We did it in my old 78 FJ55. We took 6 weeks to do it in. Can't believe you did it in 2 weeks!? That is F'n Crazy.

60's are the best.

The Old log cabins u are pulling out of in jasper are my favorite in the whole world, but u need to drive thru the okanagan on the way down south, canadas little napa valley, and great wheelin

That sounds exacly like the trips me and the misses just took...We bought our Land Cruiser from a Auto Wrecker, I fixed it all up (restored the body in two months) changed all the fluids, put Ecell wires, good quiality plugs, Ecell Supercoil, and threw out the factory clutch fan and replaced it with an electric fan. (I did all this to help gas milage) and got 18mpg consistantly with 32"tires and the roof rack stacked 3 feet high!!!! All the way from Saskatoon Canada to the far tip of Baja and back. Like you...6000 miles and never missed a beat.

Nice trip! Congrats.

Nice.
Geesh and I was complaining about driving from San Diego.

Curious about the electric fan swap?
