Im fitting terrain tamer front leaves too my 75,,, with winch and bar how much should it measure from centre of the hub too under side of guard when its done and how much will it drop once its done a few km ?
Most 2 inch lifts give 2 1/2 inches when fitted new and they go closer to 2 inches as they age. But my Dobinsons leaves only sagged 5-10mm over 5 years.
rosco , can you measure from centre of front hub too under side of guard for me please ?
ive got 515mm on the 70 and 535mm on the 75 . I want too put 33s on the 75 but they will just scrub the guard on the passanger side when turning so im hoping the new springs will give me enough too clear. rims are 15 x 10 neg 44
How wide are the tyres? I had 33/10.5/5 on my 73 series with the old suspension and no rub. I have about 550mm from the centre of hub to the underside of the guard. It has a 2inch OME lift of unknown vintage.
mine are 32x 11.5 good year wranglers but they only measure 30.5 inch.....one side of the truck i can just fit a 33 , the other side it will rub the outside edge of the guard when it turn ....
Are your wheels for a landcruiser with the correct offset? 11.5 would rub, maybe even with a lift. They often hit on the inside rear of the wheel arch when you turn.
nah , no rubbing on the inside ....they are - 44 offset so heaps of room ...its the rear of the guard on the outside edge where the 33 x 12.5 15 tyres are going too be close
bottom pic is about where the rubbing will happen ........all good at the moment . the tyres are 32x11.5 but only measure 30.5
i have no idea what the wheels are for , they were on a mates prado.. i bought them second hand when i bought the truck . the front rims just kiss the rubber boots on the tie rods and only just clear the drums on the rear by a couple of mm..
The rear drums seem abit smaller on my swb 70 , the 15inch alloys on it have alot more clearance which seems odd..both trucks have the KO85 rear and both have a 9.5 inch front diff (the pzj got an earlyer 9.5 after the 8 inch bent ).
