Hello all. I've been an 80 series member for some time now and have upgraded my engine and trans to a 2010 1VD-FTV from a 200 series. Work was done by a mechanic in San Antonio, TX.

Now that I have it back I'm looking for parts support and engine/trans information. Specifically who can I reach out to in the Australian, Japan, Euro market, or can Toyota America get me the parts?

Current issues that I'm dealing with:
Turbo bank 2 actuator fault
Possibly a starter pulling to many amps or weird ground

Thank you

-Vince

So you’re using the wiring harnesses and computers from the 200 Series donor?

That should be one, very cool 80 Series. 👍
Not being overly familiar with the 80 Series, are the frame rails wide enough to accommodate the dual turbos on the V8?

Were you able to use the 80 Series frame mounts or did you salvage those from the 200 Series donor?

Curious on the wiring since I’m going to embark on the same journey (1997 80 series/1VD-FTV/Auto). Do you know what all was done to the 200 harness to work in/along side the 80 harness? Any wiring diagrams? Any information would be a massive help.
Thanks

since it's so tight, have a look at the two connectors that plug into the turbo to check that one isn't bent over or broken. They're hella fragile.

on the front left side of the engine, above the AC compressor, there's a 6 wire plug there too that feeds the turbo on the left side. IT can get caked with oil and debris. Gold plated connectors too, if i recall.
