Anyone know what the specs are on the 1st gen white steel stock wheels. Backspacing, width, etc. I'm wondering if they will fit on a 1983 FJ60 without spacers.

The code on stock 83 rims is 5.5-JJ x 15. (from my owners manual)
The 5.5 is the width in inches, the double J means its a 4WD application (has to do with the bead). Can't remember the rest.
The chrome SR5 rims is 6-JJ X 15.
There is a chart that gives the rest of the info. I have it saved somwhere on my PC, but can't find it now

Seems like the backspacing on my 1st generation 4runner wheels is 4 3/4". Those are later year used wheels I bought from a wheel/trailer parts shop in town. They fit fine.
FJ40 backspacing is limited to about 3 1/2". Not sure about the FJ60, but if it's the same as the 40 you're SOL unless you add spacers.

The word on the 60 forum is that they will work. I'm looking to buy some. I live in Billlings, MT and my email is wyomingben@yahoo.com if anyone is looking to unload some.
