So I have been over on www.T4R.org working on making cup holders for the 1st gen guys. I figured now that I have wrapped up that project I would show you guys what I came up with. I made a good sized batch all of 3 versions and have them up on my website now. I also have a couple questions. Was the pickup truck console (storage part) the same as the 1st Gen console? Also, anybody with an auto 1st gen willing to loan me the shifter bezel to make a cup holder for it? If they covered shipping it to me, I would pay to ship it back and include the cup holder for free. I would need the console for about a week. Here are the pics of what I have. There is a single for the manual trans bezel. There is also a couple different versions of the double cup holder. Yota made a few different center consoles for the 1st gen. The older console came in two forms. Both were low (too low for an armrest) but were wider than the later ones. The early ones had the option of rear heat. The one WITH rear heat has a VERY shallow storage bin. So shallow that I could not make a functional cup holder with the space. The one WITHOUT rear heat was plenty deep for a double cup holder. I was able to add a cell phone slot, two cup slots, two pen holders, and a spot for a knife/multi tool. The later verion of the center console was taller and more narrow. It had the padded top and was more of a usable armrest. The double cup holder for that console had to be a lot more narrow which meant I could not fit the cell phone slot or the knife slot.
