Changed my mind on this one, going to upgrade both the fan and viscous clutch after all. No symptom nor overheating, but my new head seems to dump more heat into the cooling system than the old head(or at least I get heat out the vents WAY faster than the old head), and I'm wanting to protect the new head as best as possible.

What's the current favorite for these? Thinking Toyota OEM or Aisin equivalent on both. Are any aftermarket options worth considering?

FNT020 Aisin same thing

16210-67030 Toyota clutch
FCT010 Aisin same thing

Well, no responses. Went ahead and ordered the Aisin version of both of these.

Got 'er done.

Same seems exactly the same as what came out, except cleaner. 10 blade fan moves noticeably more air, AC sure works better at idle. Never had a problem before and never overheated, so no clue how much of an upgrade this is. If the AC works better while idling in 105F ambient while stopped for construction, that alone was worth the upgrade.

Test drive today, 80+ F.

New fan clutch and fan has a very noticeable startup roar, old clutch and 7 blade fan didn't do that. Coming into town and going from 100km/hr to stopped at a stop sign, can hear the fan a lot more, especially when taking off again.

Never overheated before or had a problem, not sure "sounds louder" equates to "moves more air", and no clue how much I can attribute to replacing the clutch and how much to the 10 blade fan, but so far so good.

Alrighty, drove today in 90F stop and go traffic.

AC works WAY better now. Always thought the AC was a bit weak, now I know I wasn't getting the full effect.

Worth the upgrade for that alone.
