1kz crank no start

Hey guys my 1kz (1996 prado) is cranking but not starting.
Its not the SPV, or fuel delivery. I ran a diagnostic and the check engine light never stopped blinking. (So no real number code) Already tried 2 different ecu and same result. Would it be a wiring harness issue or anything else?

Does the glow plug light illuminate?

I had such an issue and the glow plug light did not illuminte and it was a blown fuse.

It was the ecd 15 amp fuse.

It did. Yes. I checked all the fuses. And also have new glow plugs in.

I did more research and it may be the crank sensor. I’m not getting that engine code but worth a shot. Cleaning it out this weekend.

Update. I unplugged the crank sensor wire and the car started but was sounding rough. Seems like the sensor is fine but the wire to the sensor is dead

Hi,

I am having a similar problem with hard starting. Mine will crank but not for on the first key turn them will usually crank and fire on the second key turn. Seems to be getting worse.

I was told it might be the suction control valve. Mine has two, red and green.

I love remote in Papua New Guinea and diagnosing is difficult without access to a shop and told.

Any ideas?
