I have a R151F 5 speed/23 spline transmission that was behind a 1HZ diesel which is now behind a Cummins 3.3 diesel. It didn't come with a transfer case so I am searching for one. My problem is my search shows at least 3 possibilities- HF1A (part time) HF2A (full time) and a split case. I believe I have narrowed it down to either the HF1A or the split case??? It looks like the HF1A is a direct bolt up but the split case needs additional parts-input shaft, bearing, seal etc. Am I looking at this right or am I totally confused? Is there a better choice?
