Hi everyone
I've been struggling with an intermittent no start issue on my 1hz troopy
A month ago I got the dreaded one click when I turned the key. Took another car to work and when I got home it started first try. Replaced the starter and the battery before eventually tracing the issue to a bad earth wire, the wires had worked loose out of the lug. Since I've replaced that I've still had the issue, but only occasionally.

Roughly every 20 or so times I start it, I have to hold the key on ignition for a few seconds before the starter kicks in. And probably once a week it refuses to start in the morning when it's cold, just the click of the starter relay. But the next morning it starts first try.

I've replaced the starter, cleaned all the earth's to the starter and replaced the battery, I'm at a bit of a loss as to what else it could be.

Any ideas as to what else it could be

Fusible links okay?

Does the starter relay click when it doesn't crank? (Inside the front guard, near the battery) It may be faulty.

If the starter relay does click when it doesn't crank, the key switch circuit is probably okay. Is power getting through the 30 and 87 terminals circuit of the start relay?

What about the wire supplying power to the start relay, and the wire from the start relay down to the starter motor? I had to replace the wire down to the starter once for a similar problem to yours.
