My 1HDT is driving me crazy! It doesn’t want to get fixed. One day I was driving through town and suddenly noticed my temp was above normal. I stopped to check and I saw the down water hose was completely out. It drained all of the water. I switched off the car, fixed back the hose, added water as well, switched back on my car, and everything was normal. Since that day, the water temp wasn’t normal like it used to. It used to go above normal. I thought maybe I burnt my gasket. I decided to overhaul my car: new gasket and stuff. The first test drive I noticed my car wasn’t normal. The water temp was max hot. I stopped, checked the water, and it was overflowing from the reserve. The hoses were hard as a rock, like as if there was compression. I resurfaced the cylinder head, cleaned up the block, checked everything twice, and found no compression. I used mark 5 gasket. At the first test drive, I noticed the car didn’t have the power like before anymore, and still the compression problem isn’t solved. I changed more than four gaskets but it still doesn’t get fixed. I tried everything possible but still there is compression in the water. I don’t know what to do anymore.
