my 1hdt just got rebuilt and when it was installed the alternator tensioner was either missing or lost so i had a lot of belt squeal. i know a pry bar will be the school answer but i thought id try replacing the tensioner. this is what i used and it worked perfectly. it’s tight to work on there and all the belts have to come off to get access but really not a hard job after all. thought it might be of interest if others are looking for a replacement.
when installing the threaded hole needs to be above the other one or the block will hit the belts.
