I was wondering if anyone knew the fsm torque value for the starter positive wire on a 1HD series engines? I have looked through the FSM but could not find anything. On the 1fz, it is 70 inlbs but the nut is much smaller.

Tighten it up until you break it, then back it off half a turn . . .

The FSM has pages that give standard torque specs for all the different size and grade bolts, studs, nuts etc

If you don't have an fsm, search for your model in the RESOURCES section in the drop down forum menu

Lol. I get better sleep when i use torque wrench on every bolt. Yeah i have looked in several fsms and soecs for different bolt grades etc. Came up short. Will just go with good and tight.
