I needed 80-series expertise. I have a HZJ105 that had its 1HZ swapped for a 1HD-FT. My truck didn't come with a master key, and I'm working from the assumption that I need to do some ECU tweaks to program new keys. I found this and the part number does not match what I expected to find for the ECU. I looked in the 1HD-FT repair manual, and it doesn't look like any of the ECUs referenced in there. Is this an 80-series 1HD-FT ECU?

HZJ105 in Australia had an immobiliser on the fuel pump and keys with transponder chip in the key. The ECU you have pictured i think activates the chip in the key.

I don't think 1HD-FT In Australia ever had immobilisers. Not sure if other markets had them.
1HD-FT is full mechanical injection, with ECU controlling pollution gear and auto trans in some models.

The fuel cut solenoid on hzj105 fuel pump had part of the immobiliser system on it. The immobiliser works by not allowing the fuel cut solenoid to open until it gets the correct code from the key.
The only way the immobiliser would still be effective is if someone moved the fuel cut solenoid from your 1hz injection pump onto the 1HD-FT injection pump.

You can remove the immobiliser module from the fuel cut solenoid.
The immobiliser has two wires going to it.

Underneath is the ordinary solenoid with two wires.
Rewire these two wires to bypass the immobiliser, you should be able to eliminate the immobiliser system once the correct two wires in the engine harness have been identified.

I posted pics of the solenoid with the immobiliser on it in the diesel tech section.
 
For what it's worth, it's a South African 105. I'll take a look. For now, the immobilizer is "working" in that I can drive with the valet key. I'm trying to determine if it is the 105's original ECU, because I'm about to attempt "virginizing" the ECU so I can program new master keys.
