1f to 2f radiator issue

1f to 2f fan blade issue

I am changing my tired 1969 1f for a 78 fj40 2f . The 2f came with a double pully and a fan with a fan clutch. I found that the fan clutch is to much for the distance too the radiator and obviously the fan wont mount to the pulley directly. I am in need of any advise or a possile correction. Can anyone help?

I cant' give you any advice, but my 72 has a 78 2F in it and I can send you pictures of anything you need....if that helps....

I can't remember what year for sure right now without going to the garage, but you need a later 2f pump without fan clutch. I swapped an '86 2f for my '74 f and i had to do the same swap. When i did mine, i chose the water pump with the oil cooler hook up, as an added bonus.
