1999 Factory Rear Locker Worth it? ('99 vs '00 purchase question)

If I was buying a 100 series instead of already owning one, I'd probably go with a 99 w locker and put an ARB locker in the front. Does the ARB rear locker have stronger gears etc than the factory locker as well or are they pretty equivilant except for locking time?

The ARB locker is stronger and the way it actuates (w/o a shift fork moving along the axle shaft splines) is more desirable... as twisting splines could lead to catastrophic failure ($$$). But few 100 owners have been able to break the rear e-locker let alone twist the 32 spline axle shafts... so a strength comparison between the two is probably non-issue for most 100's.

Thanks!

Just curious what rjones ended up doing. I'd go for the 2000/ATRAC personally, BUT given the choices outlined by rjones, I'd go 99, only because it's a private sale from a guy who took care of the vehicle.
