Starting was different the other day , sorta shrugged it off. The started vehicle got to end of road bogged down. Got it going in neutral . Was running OK went to town got 1/2 tank high test. Going back could not accelerate finally got to speed got home. Did the put in low and shift seemed to work now just thinking throw some parts at it. Have a trip in August Thanks Karl

Changed TPS sensor no change . Does it have to be set i see some small adjustment. Same problem sluggish in drive , can use L 2nd drive will move better. Revs in neutral , bogs in drive . Thanks Karl

Does the problem go away, or is it different once the engine reaching operating temperature? If so, the problem may be your Idle Air Control Valve. The OEM '93-'94 model is NLA, but the '95-'97 is a direct replacement and is still available new, but they are gold plated and diamond encrusted.

FWIW, there is no "limp mode" for an 80 series. There is a diagnostic setting for testing purposes, but if your engine runs like crap, there's a problem.

the TPS does not come pre-set, you need to adjust it via the instructions in the FSM. You can find a copy for your year model in the resources section.

I seen this on ebay ? I started it let it run , after install . It was bog city. Tried Low 2nd drive . Finally accelerated the back to limp mode .

I'm not a big fan of aftermarket IACVs. There is a test procedure for yours also in the FSM. You could also remove and clean it, along with the by-pass port, but I'm not sure this is what will be causing your poor performance. What year model is it? Have you checked for any codes in the ECU? Have you driven through any water at all? Remove the distributor cap and check for moisture.
