I was working over in Moreno Valley today and spotted this 80 parked for sale at a AM/PM or Arco gas station on Perris Blvd. The exterior was pretty clean. One mirror had a scuff on it. And a couple of small dings that one of those mobile repair guys could easily fix. They're barely noticeable. I probably wouldn't even bother. Paint looked pretty good. The front bumper looked like it had a low speed bump. It was pushed up a little. Probably a parking lot thing. Just an excuse to get winch bumper. 157k miles. The leather on the seats were shot. Bad split in the front passenger seat. The rears were bad too. Definitely need new covers. Otherwise, the interior looked pretty clean. No cracks in the dash. I didn't notice any other interior defects. Underneath, there was some oil on the transfer case. But nothing on the ground. And it appeared that it might have been sitting there for at least a few days (spider webs on it). I'm figuring the owner either works at or owns the gas station.

Its real clean for an 1994 80 at $4,300. I did notice that one sign had $4600 or $4900. So he's already dropped the price. That's all that I know about it.

Oh, and did I mention that it has the factory lockers.....

I tried to get a picture of the interior, but the sun, window tint, and reflection made it come out all jacked up.

Figured I put it here for a local guy to pick up. Hate to see it used solely as a soccer transport. The number in the window is 951-965-6166 if you can't read it in the picture.

I've got no affiliation and all that jive.

I went and checked this out as my GF has decided that she wants an 80 now. It was beat. The engine kept stalling, the cat was rattling, the driver's seat moves freely on its track and needed to be tied in place with bailing wire, the lockers didn't work, and it had a ton of oil leaks on the engine.

I called on Sunday and asked several questions. When I asked for the VIN, the nice gentleman on the other line did not speak English suddenly. So I asked him for the VIN and maint records in Spanish and he all of a sudden had to call me back. I have yet to here back from him.

DOOD, I NEED THAT!
just called the number, says he's sick of guys calling and asking if it has a head gasket...LOL.

Oh, well. That's to bad. It was worth a shot at that price. Sounds like one of the "project" vehicles that will end up costing more than just buying a properly maintained one.
