I have been trying to fix a 1992 yota with the 3.0v6. First off the idle was hunting so I replaced the tps, the truck ran fine for about 5 mins, then just died and would not restart. When the truck cools back down it will start and run for a few mins then sputter and die. I have replace the coil and igniter, and the MAF(if that is what its called on these?). Any help would be great. Thanks

Sounds to me like it may be fuel delivery related, how old is the fuel filter?

Here is an online factory manual for testing(if you don't have one)
1993 Toyota Pickup Service Manual

How hot does it get before it sputters out? (on the gauge)

Fuel filter is only a month old. Temp qauge is right in the middle. Thanks for the link also.

You live in Rochester? I go to the lucky eagle casino sometimes. I live in Auburn.

Lucky Eagle, the legend is growing, the lucky eagle, so what are you waiting for?

Sorry, anyway yep right here in old Rochester........

No check engine light?

Without out actually testing electrical components, fuel pressure, etc. I'm out of internet advice.

I would guess something electrical is getting hot and fxxxing up or fuel delivery is getting cut off by something.

dont matter is the parts were coated in gold of the saudi prince's space shuttle.

YOU NEED TO CALIBRATE THE TPS.

check the FAQ for a link on how to.

also check all the engine grounds.
