1991 FJ80 - Double DIN Stereo Install

Hey guys,

I would like to replace my single DIN stereo with a double one with "CarPlay". Does anyone know what parts I need to make this happen, or what stereos work best with stock wiring?

My double din just fits in the slot. You can buy Toyota harness adapters from brands like Aeropro, to whatever brand stereo you buy. That way it'll be plug and play.

Most double din units will be a standard size.

Is your factory head unit still installed? You will need the factory mounting brackets that are bolted to the factory stereo if you have an aftermarket head unit hopefully they used the factory bracket to install it.

Its an aftermarket alpine head unit.
