so update....
after spending money to have pump and injectors serviced... still no resolution.

they saw the timing belt was bad so they replaced.. now van is down on power and dead.. almost as if it is not seeing boost

Ask them what figures they got after they bench tested it. Actually bench testing is something they should have done before it was opened up.
Is this a dedicated diesel fuel injection business or a mechanic?
If the power decreased after they worked on it, it should be given back to them to resolve.

If it is an automatic transmission it could be a bad torque converter. If you lightly depress the brake when the shaking occurs and the shaking stops, then it is probably the torque converter. (this causes the torque converter to unlock). I hope that this helps.

It only happens at stop. If I release brakes it continues until van. Builds speed on it's own and rpm goes up.

Stall test was done and results are to spec

I would put a small bar behind the balancer and see how much deformation I can get. Gently
But in reality, I can only see a fuel supply problem. There is not much that can make a diesel run bad apart from the fuel/air supply.
That worn pump body is probably something to do with it.
Is the pump making any buzzing or other noises?

No its silent. I want to buy a pump but before I spend over a 1000 US I want to make sure it's the pump.... nobody has a spare pump in my country to try.....

Is there another diesel shop you could ask for a bench test?

I recently learned that the excessive vibration is due to the over supply of fuel into the pump.... the idle must be set to 7500rpm when ac is off and the idle up must be set to 8000rpm or slightly higher than 7500rpm when ac is on.

I thought I had a bad vacuum pump, brake booster or injection pump...

update it was the pump however i still get a slight hunting. i was told its calibration. i gave up and living with it.

gonna rip out this diesel and go LS soon so i not fighting up anymore
