Well the time has come. I'm leaving Japan and I can't take her with me back to the states. I have to sell my baby. Send me an email at sniperx{at}as4l.com
The car started life as a 1989 BJ74. the PO then mated it with a 1991 drivetrain. The PO was an offroad shop owner and this was his demo model for new parts and things.
External things added by PO:
Warn 9000lbs winch
Custom Front bumper
Anti-reversal shackles
Lift (inches unknown)
Manual hubs
Safari Snorkel
Spotlight/Foglight
Second antenna (I never found a wire hooked to it, I think it was used as a height indicator)
Heavier springs
Front and rear disc brakes
Custom rear bumper
Internal things added by PO:
1HZ engine
Toyota Turbo
K&N Filter
Axles, tranny, and engine are all from the same car
Rear electric locker and front cable locker
Interior things added by PO:
Pyrometer
CD changer under driver seat
Air compressor stashed in rear panel
Air tank under the car
Air horn
Recaro drivers seat
Exterior things added by me:
Modified AIBA full length roof rack
Roof top tent (aluminum model) w/ attached room
Rear tire bike rack (lightly used, door was never opened when loaded)
Interior things added by me:
CarPC running Windows
7inch? LCD touch screen
Mini-amplifier (CarPC didn't have any amp and risked burning up soundboard running car speakers with it)
Airline extension with tire filler
Repairs done by me (or for me):
All brake pads changed
~2000 mile oil/filter changes
Fuel pump rebuilt (done at Nippon Denso down the street)
KN Filter recharged
1 new battery
1 new taillight
2 new taillight bulbs
2 new headlight bulbs
new thermostat
fresh coolant
new 24v-12v converter (currently runs 2)
new wipers
This is how it looked when I drove it off the lot
This is when we just got the tent on it a year ago...
Those wheels and SS tires aren't on it anymore. I will have a current picture up shortly.
This car is located in Japan and can be imported into Canada.
I'm looking to get 11,500usd for it. This is a little less than I paid for it before the pump rebuild and rack/tent was installed. I'm getting back into VWs when I get back into the US...so could work something out in that angle for a split window Bus, transporter or 55 and under bug. What can I say....diesel got me hooked on simple and robust designs again.
I can arrange shipping and transport of the truck if needed.

P.s. No, the shrunken head on the trailer hitch is NOT included.
