I used the frame # and compared it to the chart that shows what month the HJ61 was made.............I didnt not use the 11 of the plate.

lets see if I can find the page............

list of all Toyota frame #
http://toyota.mnc.ru/framno/longindex.html

was wondering when someone would ask how I did that ;)

Gary I an almost sure its a 88 model year. Maybe in Japan they use the birth year not the model year. You know in the US a 11/87 would be a 88 reg, in Japan maybe its still called a 87 for reg?

After using your info, I looked up my FJ62 which has a frame # of 110380. This shows to be built in November of 88, but the build date of the truck per the US Vin tag shows 4/89?? I suppose Toyota has frames stacked up and they just grab one off the top to build a truck with no number relation to the actual build date of the truck? I appreciate the info on this.

hmmm, that possible. Like my 45LV, frame is a early 64.........but the VIN plate is stamped 65(not a tag but stamped)

not sure how the frame # and actaully production worked in the 80's

I'll check some of mine agaist the list.
