Yesterday I had 2 new (but cheap) front tires installed on the stock wheels, and in just the couple hours I was out in the truck, had 5 guys try to buy the damn thing. Funny how a cheap little truck happens to be a thing everybody wants but nobody makes anymore...
New headlight bezels from Rock Auto. Not bad for under $20
Decided to slap the camper shell back on for now, as my Tacoma needs major repairs and I'll need to use this truck for work for the next few weeks.
My tool box stack doesn't really fit in the cab in this truck, and I wanted to add one more layer to deter thieves.
I'm gonna replace the rear tires this week too, I guess, since one is now losing air, and they're under half tread now anyway. At the moment, this 41 year old truck is my most reliable transportation, and I'm very grateful that I can depend on it to make a living while I work to fix other stuff.
The 60 is mostly reliable too, but the starter has been acting up and I believe the problem to be more related to my original ignition switch rather than the starter itself.
