I have a full OME on my '85 4Runner running 32" MTRs; medium springs, greasable shackles, shocks and stabilizer. The 50mm (2in) lift is all I was looking for as a daily driver and trail rig, and it actually raised it 3-4" because the stock ones were sagging. I'm 5'10" and my butt cheek just makes it to the seat edge when I crawl in, my wife is 5' so she has to swing from the hand hold, lol. Once I put longer SS brake lines in I got plenty of travel for my needs. Rides a little rough on washboard but handles great on the roads.

I have a 4" Explorer Pro Com lift package on my '85. Don't do it, it's brutal riding. ASAP, I'm gonna pull leafs out of it, but first I've gotta get a 4.3L V6 in it. It's got a 22R in it (carbed of course) and I usually run 31's, but with 33's I can't really get into 5th gear. I have plenty of room for 35's, but really can't run them due to the gearing and power. Hope that helps.

excellent! I appreciate you all chiming in with your experiences.

Save a few bucks and skip superlift, pro- comp, and rough country, I've had all three on toyotas and you may as well weld you axles to your frame. Stiff, no articulation, and they bend real easy if you take a leaf or two out. I've heard very good things about the OME springs, some good and bad about the downey, and I'm not very familiar with trail gear. All-pro also makes stock length springs as far as I know, I'd imagine theyre engineered better than most bolt on springs.
