I have replaced all the obvious things like plugs,cap rotor. still misses. I was on a long trip 6hrs at about 65mph. It started losing power and when I stopped it was missing at idle pulled one the one plug that was missing it was fouled badly, cleaned put it back in still missing at idle but above 2000rpm seams to be firing. I have since replaced the plugs wires and cap and rotor it will not go away. The only thing I can think is maybe a bad valve? Any suggestions

Do a compression test and report back. That will tell you the condition of your valves and rings.
Make sure all of the vac lines are hooked up. Also, when was your pcv vlave last replaced and what kinda miles are on your rig?

I will do a compression test tonight. I have not replaced the PCV valve in a while. so I will replace that tonight also. The motor has 75'000+ miles on it. I will report back on the compression test.

1st cylinder 140psi, 2nd cylinder 45psi 3rd 145psi 4th 135psi, that front to back.
Ok, you have a problem on #2 (obviously...) anyway, next test is to squirt some oil into that low cylinder and re-check the compression. If it goes up significantly, then you know that your rings are bad. If not, then you have a problem on the top end. I'd check the rings anyway, but it sounds to me like one of your valve adjustment screws might have come loose on your long trip and caused one of your valves to not seat fully.
Anyway, if the rings check out, then check the valve adjustment on that cylinder. If it is out you may as well readjust all of them while you are in there. If it isn't out then you likely have a burnt or broken valve and you'll need to pull the top end off.

Pressure went up with the oil, I guess that means new rings, I wonder if I can turn this into a diesel swap!!!!!!. Thanks for all the help.
That also explains the fouling.....

Also, with only 75k on it, it seems unlikely that your rings are that badly worn.
You might start another thread asking about unsticking stuck rings. I know it can be done, but I have never had to and don't know the exact procedure.

i have never done that, from what i hear, diesel fuel is supposed to make rings un stick.
and yeah, no way should a 75k mile engine have this problem.
somewhere along the lines debris got sucked in there.
