With the repair on the coupe finally underway, it's time to start listing the soon to be extra vehicle in our household for sale - 1984 Mercedes 300TD [wagon]. 236K, runs strong, blows cold air, interior shows it's age, well maintained mechnically, prior owner was Ken Holton service manager at local dealer and now owns his shop and has continued to wrench the wagon since we aquired it some years back. $2,500 to this crew. Great on the road car.

color?

Color?

Its the MB cream light yellow - don't recall the official anme - over tan interior

Warranty?

The famous 30/30 -30 feet past the driveway or 30 seconds, whichever comes first - I drove it around the state and out to NC and AL w/ confidence - until the LC appeared to displace it

BEN.............on a 1984...........for $2500..........

Denoted below: Dow passing along the warranty to Ben....

:shotts:

Just a joke on the warranty.

I used to have one of these diesel MB's. Best built car ever. My 25 y.o. interior looked better than my 5 y.o. Acura plastic/pleather POS. If I didn't already have one grocery getter 60, I'd buy that TD. Think of it as a 2wd cruiser w/ the economy of a diesel and great class. I swear to you that "4B-quality" chicks dig a classic Benz more than a new set of wheels. (4B meaning brains, breeding, beauty and bank acct.)

Downside: 0-60 in the length of Quitman, MS
-diesel ain't so cheap no mo
-the paint colors are very "That Seventies Show"- mine was Baby Turd Green.
-you can't sneak out for a drink with the boys after momma has gone beddy-bye.
-JesterB has one that makes the interstates smell like fast food
And accelerating from stop turns the immediate area into a Dead Show (lots of smoke). But as they say, that falls into the Dept. of Someone Else's Problem.

-BM

I'd buy it if I hadn't hocked my soul to get the axle. Seriously.

I'm sorry:D

I want to look at it.

Madison directory L Dow Welch - catch up and come out to see it or it can be at DTI on Highland Colony Parkway parking lot after school. The coupe is about 1 1/2 weeks out in repair time anyway.

Rather just do a clean sale - money / car - having some paint done on a vehicle under repair, so selling this one off elminates the extra car and helps cover that also

Diesel MB

You still have that 300TD? Any problems with it? Any Dents or Rust?

Yes, it's available - no body damage or rust outs but windsheild has a crack line, mechanically sounds, blows cold air, interior shows its age
