You should trim those u-bolts because they can catch a rock or other obstacle, but if you never leave the pavement you're good.

thanks for noticing. I has meant to do that when I did springs, but forgot. I tend to only wheel in east Texas with this truck and it is typically soft dirt/mud, but this would def be an issue if I take it out to Big Bend. Plan to trim them up this weekend when I change the oil.
