1982 Clardy A/C has given it up looking for solutions

The title is a bit misleading. The condenser and inside air handler are the only original A/C parts from the 1983 installation. I cobbled together a repair job in 2017 with a rebuilt compressor and drier when I bought Miss Scarlet. Compressor is dead, need to reroute hoses and relocate drier. Local mechanics won't touch it. So, I've got two choices. I can dump it all and start over or find a good repair shop in the north Phoenix area. Suggestions please.

I would suggest asking in copper state cruiser in the club house section. Is this still a R12 Freon or has the refrigant been convert to R123A?
