I know it ain't a fj45 (same but way better ;) but just picked up a 1981 hj47 to build into a nice tough reliable truck. This will be my 5th 40 series build and hopefully my best.
Plans are so far ;
12ht with gturbo
H55f with pto
60 series power steering
75 series sub tank
Parabolic springs
75 series rear disc brake diff
60 series front disc conversion

So I got word of the 47 and drove the 10km out to old mates farm. Lovely old bloke and started the price at 1500 dollars, I left with it for 600 dollars and smile on my face. Original as they come with 2h and factory air conditioning.

Greetings mrhj47. Maybe you can help me? I have a 1981 hj 47 as well. Wanting to put AC in, any recommendations?

Potentially also interested.

Well I am located Narrabri nsw, can freight anywhere. Factory fitted so have all the bits including the plastic vent and the wiring loom that plugs strait into your 47 loom which you never see advertised. except compressor and engine mount (easy to find as 60 series and hj75 had the same compressor) pic is the plug in the 40 series loom that the harness from aircon plugs into

Man that make me want to start a new project. Made me laugh when I saw your findings while you were taken the parts off. I found $8 in coin, plastic dinosaur, 3 pens, 3 bullets all different calibers, and a pack of very old condoms, that was the funniest. Wish you the best on the build. Post as you go. :beer::beer:

Hey again. .here is my email..I'm am very interested for my hj 47....trevor@frontrangegear.com

Mrhj47
Nice and clean rust wise hows the front cross member look.
Yeah front half is perfect but I'm not happy with the rear. I just bought another 84 hj47 and the frame is mint so I'll be using that and a few other bits. The turret on the 84 is toast but I should have enough parts to make my money back on it hopefully
