1981 HJ-47 for trade

UPDATE AS OF 2/22/08--
I was looking for a mid to late seventies fj40, but right now I'm pretty much open to anything as long as it doesn't need any work and is pretty well built. I'd be most interested in a 60 series or 40 series, but I'm going to keep my options open...

OK guys, I don't want to do it, but I need to do it. I really enjoy my troopy, but I don't have the time to work on it right now and am looking to trade, not sell it. I love the fj40s and am very interested in trading for one that has been built/partially restored, etc... I have lots of info in the fj45 owner section about it, but I'll give a quick breakdown.

It is an hj47, but somebody put a 2f in it in Australia before it got to me. I have installed a 2.5" OME heavy kit on it and put on 35s as well. I've also cut the roof rack off of it. It looked good from a distance, but was poorly made and it had to go. It runs good, but I'd eventually like to get a 2h as well as do a frame off on it, but I just don't have the time. PM me, respond to the thread, or email me at sjackson at pattersonbank dot com and I'll get back to you. If someone gets serious enough I'll give you my phone number and we'll talk.

Thanks guys,

Stephen

What are you looking to trade for?

A 74 to 78 fj40 (although I really like the late 60s as well) that has been built and or partially restored. I want to be able to do some work, just not to the extent that I want to do with the troopy. If you are talking dollar amount, then I'm not really sure...I guess somewhere around the $13k to $16k mark.

Thanks,

Stephen

I know it's chat... but I can't believe you're getting rid of it.. wow...

That sux.

Good luck

Don't get me wrong, I love the troopy, but the more I look at it, the more I want to do a frame off, and I don't have the time or funds to do it at this time. I'd rather get a turnkey 40 that doesn't need anything and wait and get another troopy down the road.

HEy BeefBarley, If your trade on the troopy doesn't work out, I'd be interested in your 40. ;)
