Hello, a time has come that I've realized I need to put up for sale my 1981 Toyota Landcruiser BJ42. Not sure if this is the best forum itself to post in as would like to sell it in one shot but am willing to separate it as best as time allows me to do to sell parts off to help out any other cruiser owner and get some funds at the same time. My plan was to get this one fixed up a bit and drive the snot out of it and buy another one to do a full out restore that I spend 10-15 yrs slowly doing with my two boys as they grow up. With the two youngins (1.5 and 1 month) ive realized getting this on the road is not going to happen and what I'd like to restore is a frame off and would have a small block 350 engine and itd be a waste of a diesel model doing it.

She's a beast but is in need of being put back together and some repairs to get her back into running or driving condition. Has a 4" lift with 35" Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires with 75% plus tread left. Has the 3B diesel engine with a 4 speed transmission (estimated mileage is 250 or 300 k but when i got it the odometer seemed not to work and i put in a replacement one so this is based on the Used Vehicle package which could be totally fictional). When I started to do the work (fix the rear floor boards and paint everything) I thought I'd have time, but that I havent. Everything worked great and it was my daily driver all through that summer, that was 2 years ago. The two 12v batteries have since died and won't take a charge so start it up at the moment.

Theres 2 new OEM toyota fenders to go along with it, has the hard top with regular doors and rear ambulance doors (all top pieces were in great shape, the previous owner lost the keys for the doors but my old 4runner key worked the ignition but not the doors so the doors are missing lock pieces) along with a jeep style soft top that I hated. Has aluminum diamond pattern rear fender covers. A steel framed roof rack (probably not viable to ship it) that goes from the front bumper to the rear bumper that you could load any gear imaginable comes with and has a 8000 pound winch on the front. The front bumper has a picture of a duck, the previous owner was nick named duckman, i liked the cartoon so i never cut it out.

Rear floor boards are s***ty, and the main body has surface rust in areas.

The BJ42 has a 24 volt electrical system everything i can think of works.

Id like in the neighbourhood of $3500 CAD for it all, but will entertain best offers until the point where separating parts starts to happen then its a free for all of whatever can be pulled and sold. I'm not sure if im breaking rules by not posting prices for each item but right now it's full complete so its essentially everything. Hell im not even sure if im in the right forum category at this point. If possible I'd rather not pull the drivetrain as I just dont see when or how I'd get time to so preference to the person who wants it attached to a frame in some form, have forklifts and stuff like that to load it up onto something to ship.

So basically, theres parts if you need it name it and I'll do my best to ascertain if it is feasible to remove and get you a fair price quote. If you want it all lets work something out. I'll take some more pictures to anyone asking, i posted it on our local kijiji where people can come look so didnt get into nitty gritty pictures.

Im in Thunder Bay Ontario Canada if that matters to anyone.

Apologies for the absolute desecration of the english language with the above posting, it's all done through tears of realizing I need to let her go.

I replied to your ad on Kijiji, let me know if you still want to sell it whole; I can pick it up.

do you have the striker plates and screws where amby door latches to the tub, 2 front door hinge pins, and the diesel emblem in the grill? Thank you.

Do you have any of these? It is the nose piece from the air cleaner tube that bends up to the top of the radiator, as well as the brackets that hold it on.

Assuming you have power steering, do you have the driver side radiator support rod? It should have a double dog leg designed to clear the power steering pump.

I have a manual steering 82 FJ40 and the support rod has a double dogleg bend to go around the air pump. The PS pump is on the top of the motor , so any 80 up support rod should work and have the bends you need PS or not.
