1980 toyota not charging

tried chasing down wires new alt new v reg still not charging battery any advice on this little pick up I got for my 17yrold im lost evry one who checked it is lost lease help

new guy to fourm ,went thrue this with my 79 ,changed out to chevy 1 wire (not 2) awsome fix -simple hook up just run wire to hot on bat. and bypass volt reg ,i think trail gear makes the bracket only weird thing is you have to rev up to 1800 rpm to turn it on every morn,once on it stays on

I went thru same deal and ended up replacing both alt. and reg several times. Come to find out toyota used several dif. Kind of both and had to be ordered by my my vin # from toyota to match up. Very costly. You can have you original rebuilt a lot cheaper.
