1979 FJ55 Color Code

Guys,

I need some help on this one. I'm looking to paint my '79 FJ55 back to it's factory color. The 'color/trim' plate says '277-ZB11' but I can not find that color.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I searched www.autocolorlibrary.com without finding that number for 79. You may need to go by the build date. What color is the truck? Pix?

I had a problem finding mine too. There were separate color codes since they were all painted 2-tone.

The build date was May of 1979. I too searched the sites and the charts posted here but no luck.

The truck has been painted many times over the years. It's currently blue but I can see smurf blue and teal (aqua) in other places.

I just searched the Sherwin Automotive Paint site and the listed it as "Rustic Green/White" for model years '77-'79.

Can anyone verify that? Anyone with a rustic green rig?

How did you get the SW site to accept your paint code. I tried yours and mine with the dash and without and it would not accept either. My 78 55 is a 277-EA12green and white.

Hey John,

Just choose "toyota" and only use 277 and it will come up. Thanks for letting me know about your '78, it seems to fit.
