I have an engine out of a 79 4x4 that i recently swapped into an 84 2wd. I am going to rebuild the card because it runs like poop. What i need to know is what vaccum lines do i need? I dont have the ECC anymore.

do i just need the choke, and the vaccum advance?

I'm sure someone knows. I hope you reply soon, I was wanting to rebuild the carb this weekend and clean the engine bay up some going back together.
you need to have the
distibutor
EGR
you can use a shimano lever to actuate the choke.
but with out the computer you loose the functions of many controls.
the vacuum for the distributor gets lost after the HAC valve.
the EGR is controlled by the O2. maybe you could toggle switch a VSV?
other wise i have not done this. i run a modified 20R/22R engine with a webber.
you will have some experiments to conduct, i would imagine.

Is it a CA motor or 49 state version? Non-CA models are somewhat less messy (no smog pump, or O2 sensor, HAC was opt.) I may have a diagram for a 79 at home. I'll check tonight.
