Hi from New Zealand!
I bought a replacement water pump for my 1978 2F. By mistake I got the one without the Oil Cooler outlet. That being said, I don’t seem to have an Oil Cooler. The hose that would go to the Oil Cooler appears to just go into the heater box in the cab and then out again and into the block and then to thermostat (at least that’s how I understand it).
What are my options with the new pump that I have? The reason I decided to replace it was that It was leaking at the gasket and there were in-cab leaks. Would I be better to just put the old pump on with a new gasket and pull the heater out to check where that’s leaking?? I’m not super mechanical. Everything else I have had done for me but figured this should’ve been easy.
