i wheel with a few mini's most of them have about 4-6 inches of lift and all of them run 35's and they don't do to bad. when i first started building this 40 i was only going to stretch it 10". i fliped the rear leafs and streched frame long enough to fit stock front driveshaft in rear with rockbox in offcoarse. i figured this way for the price of having two driveshafts made. i could just have two custom fronts made. and take two stock fronts and have a spare for both for the same price, as if i had two custom ones made. then i kept looking at the front shackle flip kit. i decided that i wanted my front wheels as close to the front of the frame as i can get. so i fliped the front leafs. pusing the axle forward 4" brings us to 108" wheelbase. i was not trying to go this long just ended up that way. we all know you can play the wheelbase game all day long with no winners. but from what i have seen longer wheelbase do better all around front tires over before back ones even hit. i did however figure this would make me catch a few in the gut. so i beefed the underside of the gut ie skidplate and skidplated the oilpan. i have no boby to destroy it will all be tube. hopefully i can just run it the way it is on 35's and just take the rock rash beating.

a buddy of mine found it on a farm in aurora indiana, the guy did not want to sell it three years ago he said he was going to turn it into a hay bailer or some shis. he welded a bunch o crap to the front. about a year ago we drove back to see what was up and it was still sitting there so i went to the door and asked about it. the guy had died r.i.p. i bought for $300. best three hundred i ever spent used firewall after i kicked the squirls out
on the the camo job a little tribute to my four years in the usmc.
