Hello all,

I’ve got some odds and ends to finish up with the fabrication and wondered if there’s a reason to keep these extra holes? Maybe they were drilled in the past? Maybe being a transition year they accommodate both styles of emblems? I’m really unsure.

Fill them in or leave them?

Thank you!

Extra holes for something non stock. The previous emblems would not have used those holes.

When emblems switch sides the pattern for the mounting do not reverse. So for an emblem used both side holes would not have a reversed pattern.

So what I’m gathering… is that they need to be patched. I’ll pop off the emblems and make sure there’s not 20 more holes hidden behind them. Thanks for the help everyone

All the holes that were cover showing obviously a 70-73 models aprons that some one just used a later emblem on this 74 and not bother filling old emblem holes. Couldn't see Toyota using a late 73 model and drilling new holes. Besides not seeing Toyota doing some thing like that doubt anyone buying a brand new vehicle would except that.
