I bought this 71 with 2f and sm420 swap just under two years ago. Drove it until winter and then started fixing stuff but didn’t know where to stop. The rear sill, corners, and door sills all rusted pretty badly. The plan was never to go down to frame but that’s what happened. It’s taken 10 months of off and on work to get it back to this point. Fixed all the body rust with real steel parts, bought a new 5 speed and FJ62 transfer case, rebuilt everything along the way with new parts. Suspension is ome 2.5 lift. Wheels are 16” FJco cast, paint is original code capri blue single stage.
Have original benches I will put back in, had to reposition 5 speed shifter a lot to get it aligned and also had to clearance the frame rail some to keep vacuum actuated front drive. It’s going to be very close to original but not mechanically.
