one has been put in a 55.........so no reason why it cant go in a 45LV

i have a 67' F in my 40 with a milled head and a stock 1 bbl carb, I set the vaves and timing up right and it runs like a bat out of hell. Also i got rid of my oil bath air cleaner and went with a K&N huge bost in power.

I've heard those K&Ns leak dust through, though. That will wear down your rings like nothin' else, they say.

i also have the per cleaner wrap, that gose around the filter, like you would use on a sand rail

My 70 FJ40 has the 1F motor in it and a 2 barrel carb, and i think it has more than enough power. The land crusier wasnt made to be a drag racer, just better than a j**p. lol. since my truck is torn apart right now im thinking about an exhaust and was wondering if a flowmaster with a 2.5" pipe would make it sound like one of those "rice burner" import cars, which i dont want to sound like. even though the Cuiser is a TOYOTA. and is then an import. I just dont want it toi sound like crap.

Pretty much all of the old hotrod tricks work. Header,exhaust, cam, ignition,
improved carb and a little head milling can make quite a difference. These mods really
did help my 72's tractor motor. It's still a tractor motor but then again, I
wouldn't have it any other way. Man these old "F"s love to grunt along.
With that said....bone stock properly tuned should also do fine.
