I bought a complete hacked up rust bucket a few years ago. I have slowly collected parts.

Here is my question, I would like to replace the rusted and crusty suspension parts.

A PO put a lift kit on it at some point, SBC350, TH400. I am trying to figure out the lift so I can replace in kind since I like the height. After some internet research on measuring points, it stated to measure from the rear center axle to the under side of the stock fender, should be 15 to 16" as stock. Mine is 22", if correct, that is a 6" lift which does not sound correct.

Can anyone point me in a direction to figure this out?

Thanks DM3

Do the springs sit on top the axle or do they go under the axle? Maybe some pics would help. Are the shackles in the stk location?

Rear shackle looks suspicious.

Looks like the front has had a shackle reversal. Theres a good chance it has a 4" lift in the rear and 2" lift in the front. Your pics are pretty weak.

I can get better ones after work, didn't want to go under while at lunch. Any dimensions that would be helpful?

Your second set of pics didnt load very quickly, but I see then now. Maybe a pic with the cover off so we can see the whole vehicle. Measurements from the ground to running board or rear wheel opening. Typically when folks do a shackle reversal they use 2 different lift springs as I mentioned earlier. There's probably no way to tell the brand.

100% guarantee that is what's under it.

the SR gives you about 2" lift in front

the shackles in rear .... what is the length pin to pin? OEM is 2 3/4" ... yours look about 6"+ which gives about 2" lift

A 4” rear spring with a shackle that long wouldn’t sit right

Could be 2” springs all the way around and the lift shackles in rear to match the front height

It could very well be just a 2” total lift… or 4” but… pics are not the greatest lol

Too hard to tell what you have really

here's mine with SR front and 2" front spring and 4" rear springs 34” tall tires that are new as well rear shackles were conferr that if I remember correctly they were 1” longer than stock for an extra 1/2” rear lift
